I will confess that I was pulling for the Patriots because 1) I'd like to see another undefeated team besides the 1972 Dolphins for once and 2) Tom Brady went to my alma mater.
That said, I don't have really strong feelings about this game, since I'm not especially attached to either team.
It was tough for me. I'm a New Yorker, but lived in Boston for 8 years. I'm not a native Masshole, but I like the Pats. Besides which, the Giants became a New Jersey team for a while, which was a betrayal. So, I was torn. There were a lot of very unhappy Pats fans at the party I went to, and one very excited Cowboys fan who decided to root for the Giants because they were the underdog (plus, they beat her Cowboys, so she figured they must be worth rooting for).
OT, but I tried the speed dating thing last night.
I found it to be a difficult way to meet people. A lot of pressure and really not enough time with each person. Don't know how you feel about that...
I have not tried speed dating; I'm sort of terrified of it. At least my terror would be short-lived...
