It's 74 and sunny in LA,

but look what it's doing where I grew up:

My friend Suzi sent me this pic. It's not even Halloween yet! I got so tired of shoveling when I lived on the east coast. I loved the first snowfall, but it was all downhill from there.

We had snow here in South East England on 28 October - a Tuesday!!

I can handle it when I don't have to go out in it and when it comes down on Christmas Eve it's lovely but on a working Tuesday? No thanks.

And it's freezing here. What I wouldn't give for 74C....

When I was in college (near Buffalo, right in the snow belt), my roommates and I lived in a house our senior year. We were really looking forward to having trick or treaters, and bought about 5lbs. of candy in anticipation.

Problem was, we had a blizzard on October 30. We only had two kids come to the door, and were left with 4lbs. of candy.
